DDT Pesticide bottle from the 1940’s. I know it might kill you, and I know it’s illegal… but god look at that typography!!

That is a very well designed label, other then the picture of a Quaker. I mean, I always associate DDT with the Quakers.
Angela Lindvall, model, age 29: before the make-up/hair artists got to her and after, walking the runway.
Sometimes people ask me why I wear eye make-up. There is no answer more logical than that of this article, showing that even models are enhanced by the magic of cosmetics and lighting.
P.S. I saw the link to the NYMag article in my Dashboard, and then couldn’t find the original poster when I went back, despite extensive searches. If you posted the link, can you e-mail me so I can reblog you for credit?
This isn’t really a fair comparison given the horrible lighting on the left side. In general I’m not a big fan of very much eye makeup at all.
I just went back and saw the lenses used for the 5D MKII. ONe of the ones used was a custom built 7.5mm lens. 7.5mm!! I really wonder what the lines are like on something like that. It’s hard for me to imagine what a non-fisheye 7.5mm lens would be like.
I love me my wide angles and have never had the chance to shoot with anything wider then 18mm. Not even a fisheye.
The news of the 5D MKII and 50D are really making me drool over what’s out there. It also makes me cry at the weight of my wallet.
A nifty article on how to attach a camera to your bike. After the jump there’s a video of it in action.

A nice article describing what rights you have when photographing things.
One question I still have is whether taking pictures on the subway are legal. Since they’re private and you have to pay to get in, unlike malls.
This is a great solution, I’m definitely going to give it a try someday.
reblogged from marco:
My wonderful XTi is finally beaten by this:
- 12 MP
- Live on-screen preview
- Larger viewfinder
- Larger screen
- Spot metering
- Slightly more ergonomic
- Kit will use the new image-stabilized cheap lens
- A bunch of small improvements
But there’s a significant barrier for XTi upgraders with accessories:
- Uses SD cards instead of CF. Buy all new memory.
- Uses a different battery. Buy all new batteries and chargers.
- Needs a different grip. Buy a new grip.
Seems like a nice update for new buyers to choose, but existing XTi owners aren’t really given enough compelling reasons to upgrade. (Especially if you’re a two-camera family and would have to replace everything twice.)
Awww, I’m all sad now that I bought the XTi :( I wouldn’t mind if I didnt buy it so recently. Honestly the only thing i REALLY want is the updated UI. I’m such a consumer electronics sucker.
Ever wonder how to use the curve tool in Photoshop or Lightroom. This is a basic aspect of image editing that I don’t think many people know how to use.
