soupsoup: fred-wilson: ATT are jerks and Apple is stupid for being in business exclusively with them I agree. They treat existing customers like crap. If he only cracked the glass and the lcd is fine, you can replace it without getting a new phone. I understand the unsubsidized price, I dont understand the new 24mo contract.

The first demo of Google’s Android mobile platform

- This looks fantastic. If I can’t get an iPhone this looks just as good.  

The key to this is the hardware, what makes the iPhone so great is it’s built on by far the best cell hardware ever made. The OS is good, but not what makes it so great.

I’ll be curious to see how long before the iphone is hacked to run android.
