Hulu labs is extremely interesting. They have a very well polished desktop player that will no doubt compete with boxee/plex as well as some other interesting features.
The only thing hulu desktop lacks is the ability to play local media. I also wonder if this app will open up a backend way for xbmc to hack in. What’d be awesome is if hulu made official plugins for xbmc.
why did this show have to get canceled?
it had some of the most gorgeous, perfect moments i’ve ever seen in modern television.
It’s truly a shame, this was one of the most unique and interesting shows out there. The only thing I can take solace in is that ABC is allowing them to conclude the story instead of just leaving it hanging.
Not really surprised about this, but it still is a bit tragic since ‘The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ was such an underrated show that never found its audience.
This is really sad, the show got extremely good in the last season. I do admit that season finale did kinda come out of nowhere.

AMC Announces Weiner-less Mad MenThis stand off is stupid. Mad Men is only Mad Men because of Weiner. Fix this or drop the series.

Sarah Connor Chronicles
The Sarah Conner Chronicles is a show that I sort of put up with in its infancy. I was interested in it more because of the Terminator franchise then the quality of the show. If you look back at some of my old posts on the subject I had a very mixed view on the show. There were some aspects of the show that I really liked while others, namely continuity issues with the series, really bothered me.
The last six or so episodes of the series have been pretty good. Delving into some of the more interesting aspects of this world’s situation. While a lot of it can still be slightly corny it’s not corny enough to be a problem. As a result of this positive change in direction some of the previous story lines seem a bit lost and jumbled in the mix.
Summer Glau remains a problem for me acting as a terminator. I am not opposed to a female terminator, I just don’t think that Glau makes a good one. She is a dancer and does a much better job with fluid motions then acting as a jerky, ferociously strong, terminator. Her build makes many of her actions seem ridiculous. You can still have your mandatory token hot chick with the appropriate build by using a Jessica Biel build.
Anyways, I guess what I’m saying is that if you gave up on this show earlier give it another try. It especially helps build the atmosphere with the upcoming Terminator Salvation.
In a sign of just how little success Google has had at monetizing YouTube, a research firm is predicting that Hulu will surpass it in US revenue next year. Screen Digest estimates that YouTube will…Hulu f’ing rules. They can run all the ads they want. The user experience and content is top notch.
Hulu is great, and the next step I’d like to see them take is to compete with Netflix. Have higher quality streams available to go to set top boxes hooked up to TVs. Larger back catalogs would also be great, however I understand that this is up to the studios.

three50eight: It’s officially Thursday here on the east coast and of course that means that if I can make it through another day of outlook/exchange migrations at work tomorrow I’ll have a new episode of 30 rock to enjoy when I get home.
