Interestingly the new MacBook Pro’s have their sata controllers running at 1.5 instead of 3.0 gigabits. I can’t help but wonder if this helps improve the battery life and if it’ll cause any bottlenecks when using an SSD. They’re the same chipset so the new one is obviously capable of running at the higher speed.
